Growth Manager

The Role

We are looking for a self-driven Growth Manager that will propel Numida’s success in our second year of operations. This individual will work directly with the CEO and will be responsible for both designing the growth strategy and overseeing execution to achieve ambitious results. You will be overseeing a team of staff who are primarily responsible for the recruitment and retention of Ugandan small business owners to the Numida app. This role is reserved for someone who has good data analysis skills, project and people management skills, takes initiative and has the ability to oversee a team to execute strategy in a non-hierarchical setting.    

Your ResponsibilitIes

  • Develop weekly plans and monthly targets for Numida's Client Success Team, and update CEO on performance
  • Develop and execute Numida’s overall growth strategy to achieve ambitious targets
  • Continuously analyze the performance and cost of different traction channels (direct sales, digital marketing, partnerships, referral, radio etc.) and allocate spending accordingly to maximize Numida’s growth
  • Use date to continuously update client growth strategy based on what is working

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience, (preferably in a tech. startup environment)
  • Experience building, monitoring, and iterating on growth strategy (preferably in a tech. startup environment)
  • Strong people and project management skills.  You must be comfortable overseeing multiple work streams and prioritizing tasks for a team of 3-5 people
  • Strong data analysis skills.  You must be comfortable conducting analyses (with Excel or SQL) to determine the effectiveness of customer growth strategies and design frameworks to quickly evaluate and iterate on these strategies
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills
  • (Desired) Management consulting experience
